Our first road trip with Blake was when we just got together and drove all the way to the south of France from Nottingham. We packed the tepee, the cameras and a lot of rolls. We stopped a few times on the way and ended up in Beauduc, in the wild heart of the Camargue.
As I mentioned in my previous post about the Delta de l'Ebre, Beauduc used to be an utopia for the free spirited and the local fishermen. A few years ago the government demolished the caravans, cabins and little houses as they decided they didn't have the right to be there anymore. I remember as a child being fascinated by this landscape coming directly from a weird mash-up of Mad Max and Arizona Dream.
